Gulmarg Ski course with Junglelore 2010

Come and join us for an adventurous thrilling week at Gulmarg, undoubtedly, the best place in Indian Himalayas for Skiing. Gulmarg is a mountain shelf which nestles under the protective 4124 metre height and five kilometre shoulders of Mt Apharwat. From here it overlooks the Vale of Kashmir to 8126 metre Nanga Parbat and other distant peaks.

Our award winning Ski expert, Mansoor Bhai, will be training folks on use of equipment and the techniques. Participants will be given certificate after completion. Skiing is a group of sports using skis as equipment for traveling over snow. Skis are used in conjunction with boots that connect to the ski with use of a binding.


Travel Itiernary

Day 1
Arrival at Srinagar
Arrival at Srinagar and drive to Gulmarg app.2 hrs, 50 km from Srinagar
Day 2
Depart for Ski training
After break fast issue of Ski equipment and depart for Ski training for the entire day.
Day 3
Depart for Ski training
Folks get to refurbish their first day learning with a similar routine on the 2nd day
Day 4
Experimenting with different slopes
We start experimenting with different slopes for both these days. All meals are done on the slopes.
Day 5
Departure to Sringar
Departure to sringar and stay in a lavish, wooden carved deluxe house-boat.
Day 6
Visit to floating market
Early morning visit to floating market and bird trail in shikara(boat).Evening free for local sightseeing and shopping.
Day 7
Departure to Mumbai
Departure to Srinagar air port and Mumbai.

Please Note :

Keep the surrounding area clean

Leaving your garbage anywhere in the tour (on road) is not allowed

Smoking and Alchol in the forest is not allowed

Your seat will be confirmed only after full payment for the tour.

Air Bookings run 90 days in advance.

For last minute entrants only tatkal tickets are available which
incur additional cost.

Woollen clothing(for winter season), Summer clothing (for summer season)

Comfortable sports shoes with a decent grip

Personal clothing, Sunscreen lotion, Cap, Scarf.Torch (Mandatory)

Plastic bags (for wet things) and a water bottle

Personal Medical kit, Do not carry any valuables or jewellery.
